7 years in the making, this self produced documentary combines never before seen archive and interviews, to chronicle the evolution of Singapore’s longest running party by the nation’s most legendary nightclub – Zouk’s Mambo Jambo. From it’s unwitting beginnings as a musical experiment, to becoming a cultural phenomenon, the film explores the serendipitous convergence of circumstance that conspired to create this uniquely Singaporean spectacle, how it endeared itself as a mid-week rite of passage for legions of local clubbers for over two decades until its eventual demise, and why it’s spirit still endures till this day. This is the story of the greatest party the world has never seen.
